I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here (formerly known as Queens Hotel). Despite steep stairs to third floor, my room window overlooked North Bay with great views. The North Bay is the 'under-done' of the 2 bays, the South Bay being a bit Blackpooly, Westony. A few pubs in this area with good Chinese, Italian, Indian restaurants nearby. Lots more choice by walking down to commercialised south bay.
